  • 1967

    Mokador came into being in a shop in Faenza with a small roasting facility when Domenico Castellari joined the company. The first cup of Mokador brand coffee was drunk this year.

  • 1972

    The Case del Caffè (Coffee Houses) opened in Romagna with the exclusive and unique Mokador blend for the sector channel.

  • 1992

    Mokador Study of the first pods, considered a market potentially in great expansion although there was still no actual system.

  • 1994

    After a long study the first pod machines were created on the Mokador premises. The first single-serve espresso machines.

  • 1996

    Mokador wholly owned by the family of Domenico Castellari.

  • 2001

    Mokador obtains voluntary product certification for Gran Miscela.

  • 2005

    Opening of the brand new premises dedicated to the vending sector.

  • 2007

    The company acquires the Sacao brand, synonym of quality products in Romagna.

  • 2008

    Birth of the Mokador FAP capsule compatible machine, the Dado, which immediately enjoys great success for the quality of the coffee and the reliability of the machine itself. With its modern and elegant design it is still available in the version 2.0.

  • 2010

    Mokador’s world expansion proceeds with the opening of a single brand outlet in Pattaya, Thailand.

  • 2011

    January. Mokador, aiming at full respect for the environment, installs solar panels on the roofs of both its premises and creates the eco-kit to be used with eco-compatible pods. May. Establishment of Castellari Holding srl which includes food and hospitality companies: Mokador, Gran Baita and today also the historic Modena coffee roasting concern Caffè Gualtieri, purchased last June.

  • 2012

    Opening of the first single brand shop 100% Mokador in Forlì.

  • 2013

    Mokador obtains voluntary certifications Quality Management System ISO 9001 and Environmental Management System ISO 14001.

  • 2014

    Mokador starts its restyling: a new look between history and modernity

  • 2015

    Mokador invests in the family channel presenting two new coffee machines: Unicup and Elle

  • 2016

    Renewal of capsule machines family, focusing exclusively on MADE IN ITALY pieces. Consolidating the “Dado Optima” project, dedicated to the OCS market and launching a new machine, “Tata”, ideal for the “home” market sector (or business).

  • 2017

    Mokador turns 50. Since January, a new production and packaging plant is fully operating and it is dedicated to 500 gr. and 1000 gr. Coffee beans products. Thanks to state-of-the-art technologies, the new installation allows a special packaging technique that ensures the blend freshness and fragrance.

  • 2018

    Mokador starts the production of the new line of compostable paper filter coffee pods.

  • 2019

    A new production line for pods produced with compostable paper filter enters into operation. Mokador thus enters the era of Industry 4.0.

    Mokador has received the DIN CERTCO Certification that attests the pod’s compostability.

  • 2020

    Mokador launches Mokador Experience Academy, a brand new training area dedicated to coffee, food and drink’s lovers.

    Moreover Mokador obtained the qualification to transform and pack organic coffee labelled and sold exclusively under Mokador brand with identification code 101303.

  • 2021

    Mokador presents DIVA, the exclusive capsule system designed for the environment.
